BRBC member meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month during the school year. September through April (except December), meetings are at Earth Fare in the Westgate Shopping Center in west Asheville. We use their meeting room, which is at the back left corner of the store, past the buffet. Come at 6 PM if you want to eat from the Earth Fare buffet. The meeting begins at 7:00 PM. There are usually a few anouncements, followed by a presentation of interest to cyclists. Admission is free to all; both members and non-members are welcome. In summer (May through August), we have a group ride followed by supper. For 2008, we're meeting in the back lot of Asheville Pizza & Brewing on Merrimon Avenue. We typically ride from 6 to 7:30, then have dinner at the restaurant. Check with an officer or the Topica Listserver for current information.
The September meeting will feature a presentation by Ralph Draves of his May 2008 bike-and-barge trip in Holland.
Julie White will talk about her summer bike trip across the western US and Canada in October.
For November, we will provide an update on current advocacy efforts of the club.
December is the annual club supper. Timing and location to be determined.
The January meeting will be presented by Mark Boyd. Mark is UNCA professor and avid tourist. He takes off each summer and travels by bicycle for weeks in North America or Europe.
Special note: Archer has requested that another member take over the Club Meeting responsibilities beginning in January 2009 to offer new and fresh ideas.
An important part of or meeting is to allow individuals to introduce themselves and to get to know our newer members. Bicycle riding in our area is a new experience for some and we want to make sure that we can facilitate an introduction to safe and enjoyable cycling. If you are new to our area please try to come to a meeting.

Regular officer meetings occur every month except January. Count 10 days before the 3rd Wednesday of that month. The meetings will normally be at 6pm on that Sunday, usually at the home of one of the officers. Watch the Listserver announcements for information on the location and any late-breaking changes in the day.
